DIY At Home Hair Masks!!!

Hi Guys! I just wanted to share some of my At Home Hair Masks. These masks are made with items you can most likely find in your refrigerator and they will help battle frizz, de-tangle that nest and add some shine that could blind! I hope you enjoy!

Hair Mask #1

You Put The Lime In The Coconut

What you will need:

2 Limes
A can of Coconut Milk
Empty Nutella Jar or any container you can close

Step 1: Pour the entire can of coconut milk into your empty jar.

Step 2: Squeeze your limes. You will need about 4-5 tablespoons full of this into your coconut milk.

Step 3: MIX MIX MIX!

What it does for your hair:
It helps tame your hair so it will de-tangle. The coconut milk is also great for hair loss! So if you think you suffer from to much hair shed, apply this concoction to your dry hair scalp all the way to the ends. Place a plastic bag over your head because it can get a little messy. You can leave this mixture on as long as you want, over-night if you feel like it. Rinse and wash with warm water and your good to go! Store the remains in the Fridge.

Hair Mask #2

Honey and Yogurt

What you will need:

Greek Yogurt (no sugar no fruit)
Organic Honey
Bowl

Step 1: Scoop 2-3 heaping tablespoons of yogurt into your bowl.

Step 2: Add about the same amount of honey (1:1 ratio) and mix

NOTE:
You only want to mix as much as your going to use. Discard the rest.

What it does for your hair:
The honey is a natural moisturizer for your hair and the lactic acid in the yogurt is for smoothing. Together
its a match made in heaven! If you want more moisture use more honey and vise versa. I usually only do half and half. I recommend only doing this once a week if needed. saturate whole head with mixture. Leave on for NO LONGER than 15-20 minutes. Shampoo and condition out.

Hair mask #3

Hot Oil Treatment

What You Will Need:

Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Your Daily Conditioner
Bowl

Step 1: Add a very small amount of olive oil to your daily conditioner into a microwave safe bowl. ( I added about 5 tablespoons of my conditioner and a cap full of olive oil. If you add too much olive oil, it will make you look like a grease ball)

Step 2: Microwave for about 30-45 seconds.

Step 3: Apply to hair and place a bag over head for 10 minutes. Shampoo twice to make sure olive oil is completely out.

NOTE:
Adding the heat will open up the cuticle and allow the mixture to penetrate into the hair instead of just sitting on top of it. You can actually just add the olive oil to your daily conditioner and skip the heating part if you want. I recommend people with fine or thin hair not do this only because it will probably make your hair look a little dirty.

What it does for your hair:
Olive oil is a natural frizz reducer and also helps out with static.

DIY Matte Nail Polish

What You Will Need:

Any color nail polish (without glitter)
Corn Starch
Wooden Spatula
Glass Palette
and Manicured nails!

Step 1: Pour a small amount of nail polish onto your glass palette. (only enough for one nail because you dont want it to dry out)

Step 2: Mix in about the same amount of corn starch with your wooden spatula. (1:1 ratio)

Step 3: Using your nail polish brush, brush on the polish.

NOTE:
The consistency will seem kind of weird at first but after a couple seconds, the polish will smooth itself out. Check out the picture below. Left side is regular nail polish without any topcoat. Right side is the trending matte look using this DIY formula.

 Cool, huh?? <3

I'm starting today!

I see that my confidence has dwindled over the years after having a baby, gaining a few pounds and the over all stress I put on my body. I never really ate healthy, honestly, I never needed to. Throughout high school, I could sit and eat anything I wanted and never gain a pound. I stayed at my healthy 110-115 pound range, with abs without ever going to a gym. I loved the way I looked. Now, it seems, if I eat a tick-tack, I blow up like the Michelin Man.

Now, six months after having my baby and thirty pounds heavier, I cringe every time I see a mirror. It brings me to tears daily, not only the way I look, but also the way I feel. I have no energy to do anything and when its time to do something, it always seem like I'm too tired to do it.

It's time for a change and I'm starting today!

I'm changing the way I do everything! From now on, I will eat healthier and wacth my portion control. I will consume more water and I will work out! I will post weekly pictures so I can record my progression and look back to see what I started with. I'm so excited to start this life changing journey. Please support me while I try to reach my goals!
